Berichte aus Bolivien

Bolivian Stories – Nachtrag

Weiterlesen

Time to go home

It’s time to go, tomorrow at 7:45 I will be sitting in a plane to Miami and think about three extraordinary months in Latin America. Now I somehow have to get used to my life in Germany again. I don’t really want to go back to reality yet, but on the other hand, after one year in spain and latin america, it is alright to go back.

1 1/2 years more I will be in Münster, after that – who knows – I don’t know yet where I will do my master nor which master it will do exactly, but I am sure that it was not my last time in Latin America. As tourist, for work purposes or studying – … Weiterlesen

Goodbye Bolivia

it s my last day and it s a weird day!

basically almost everything went wrong since i got to la paz…couldn t contact santi, anita and flaco were trapped in chile, i lost my wallet yesterday with 300 bolivianos (30 €) and all my contact phone numbers, the disc with the photos from the mountainbiking down to coroico is damaged (only first 40 photos readable), i realized that i lost my knife and my torch somewhere between rurrenabaque and la paz, anita mother doesnt answer the phone (to check if anita and flaco are actually coming today) and i need to go to their house to pick up my laptop and all the documents i left there before going to … Weiterlesen

Sorata – A Short Pleasure

there we go, 20 hours of bus ride, 2 hours in the freezing la paz terminal and 4 hours in a miniature version of a minibus, booomba: Sorata, here I am!

The jungle was great, we didn t see toooooo many amazing animals, but that was not what I expected. Walking trough the woods, trying some „medical plants“, having incredibly nice typical food and enjoying the beautiful landscape! Our guide was great, the tour was great, everything was great! Everything? No, not everything, because I fell into a small river (which was fun) with my camera on my back (which was not fun). Luckily, I did not enter any water and it is still working without any problems!

Photos follow once I … Weiterlesen

Yesterday Death Had A Near Michi Experience

ok, now it is really time for a break!

in uyuni we got up at 5 and 4 AM, afterwards I took a horrible nightbus to oruro and jumped into the bus to cocha which was already heading out of the station. being in cocha i got all my stuff, packed the backpack again and took another nightbus to la paz. coming to la paz i went to 2 (! !) birthday celebrations of 3 (! ! !) relatives of anita and roberto on the day day, so by the end of the day i was completely full and tired from not really sleeping since 4 days.

instead of sleeping i decided to go for the adrenaline push variant and mountainbike down … Weiterlesen

Bolivia on a shoestring in a nutshell – Part 2

Uyuni:

– god’s colour experimental playground (white salt, brown sand, pink flamencos, red lagoon, green lagoon, white lagoon)

– bolivia’s tourist attraction no. 1

– utterly cold nights (-15 °C)

– 5 girls in a jeep is too much oestrogen

– otherwordly hazardously place

– handstand on a waterbottle

– worth all the troubles
